The machinability rating of this alloy is 50. (Where Alloy 360 FC Brass is 100).

Brasses (Copper-Zinc-Tin), Naval Brass, Medium Leaded. Excellent hot forgeability, good corrosion resistance. Free-cutting.
Weldability
Soldering is rated as "excellent", brazing is rated as "good", oxyacetylene welding is "not recommended", gas shielded arc welding is "not recommended", coated metal arc welding is "not recommended", spot welding is "not recommended", seam welding is "not recommended", and butt welding is rated as "fair".
