Heat Treatability

The stress relieving temperature of this alloy is 500 F or 260 C. The time at temperature is one hour per inch of section thickness. This alloy does not respond to heat treatment.

Machinability

The machinability rating of this alloy is 30. (Where Alloy 360 FC Brass is 100).

Weldability

Soldering of this alloy is rated as "poor", brazing is rated as "poor", oxyacetylene welding is rated as "good", carbon arc welding is "not recommended", gas shielded arc welding is rated as "fair", and coated metal arc welding is rated as "good".
