Heat Treatability

The stress relieving temperature of this alloy is 500 F or 260 C. The time at temperature is one hour per inch of section thickness. This alloy does not respond to heat treatment.

Machinability

The machinability rating of this alloy is 60. (Where Alloy 360 FC Brass is 100).

Weldability

Soldering of this alloy is rated as "excellent", brazing is rated as "excellent", oxyacetylene welding is "not recommended", carbon arc welding is rated as "not recommended", gas shielded arc welding is "not recommended", and coated metal arc welding is "not recommended".
