Aging Procedure
The optimum hot tensile strength is developed by a combination of cold working (45-50% reduction of area) and then aging at 1225 F for 4 hours followed by air cooling.
Annealing Procedure
Anneal at 2150 F and rapid air cool.
Applications
Gas turbine hot section components that operate at temperatures up to 1200 F.
Cold Workability
No data. The alloy is ductile and capable of cold working by conventional means.
Formability
No data. However the alloy is ductile.
Hardening Procedure
See "Aging".
Heat Treatability
Anneal at 2150 F and rapid air cool. The alloy may be age-hardened at 1225 F for 4 hours followed by air cool.

Principle Design Features
This is a cobalt-nickel-chromium alloy designed for very high strength at temperatures up to 1200 F. This alloy was developed by SPS Technologies in Pennsylvania. SPS maintains a metallurgical staff able to deal with a variety of technical problem areas.
